To contemplate one’s life means to knock oneself down, to stop, to begin to go over one’s experiences, to discard the superfluous and unnecessary, to destroy the old in the hope of constructing the new, in other words, to be undermined. It is impossible not to note the severity of this word because this action is associated with pain, loss, the need to choose difficult routes, and sometimes taking risks so as not to make new mistakes and not to fall off the set path. But is it worth enduring the pain? What happens if we simply go with the flow? How will our lives turn out then?

The French philosopher Albert Camus asked similar questions in his famous essay “The Myth of Sisyphus. In brief, the ancient Greek myth is as follows: the gods condemned Sisyphus, because he was too arrogant and too dodgy, to roll a huge stone up the mountain, which kept falling and had to start all over again. It would seem that what could be worse than this useless work? What was Sisyphus thinking as he climbed to the top of the mountain? And what do we care about him?

Maybe we should admit that our lives are a bit like this Sisyphus? Approach Albert Camus’s thoughts and feelings, his philosophy. Perhaps you will find some answers to these difficult questions.

Game Description
Explore fantastic environments as Lula, as she journeys to discover the meaning of the Genie and fulfill her destiny. First Collect the broken crystal shards then follow the unraveling poems of the story.

GENIE is a couple of hours of a relaxing experience. A rich story that’s presented in a poetic form combined with immersive graphics, fantasy style, gorgeous natural environments that take place in varied eras, made with Unreal Engine 5, and a charming soundtrack to make it a journey you may not soon forget. Enjoy the environments!

In the first half of the levels, the player collects crystal shards scattered around the map. When they collect all the shards, the poem-spots start to appear one by one. When the player stands on them, they have to find a light source around them and focus on it. When that happens, the camera view changes and the narration begins. After that is done, the next poem-spot reveals, and so on until the next level begins.

GENIE is the re-creation of Drizzlepath: Genie which was released in 2016. The environments are made from scratch, the story is altered and transformed into poem form. A highly talented voice actor has recorded the full narration of the game. The music is revisited (with a single exception) with a selection of more atmospheric tracks.

The game is divided into 15 parts which take about 5-10 minutes each; the progress is saved at their beginnings.

PS: The core aspect of this game is the atmosphere. It offers almost zero interaction and is recommended for those who mostly seek to experience the mood.
