Story:

Game FAQ

Q: Well, the game works fine for me, but at the end at the final scene the game freezes and nothing happens after it!
A: You didn’t install optional credits, what did you expect? They would start at that moment. Check “Selective Download” section for details.

Q: My game is very laggy, I have freezes, audio chops, mouse is not responding!
A: As I said above, the game is very demanding, so on low-end systems you have to use special tools like BES, which is located in “_Windows 7 Fix” folder after installation. Unpack it, run BES, run the game, select it’s EXE in BES menu, click “Limit this” and set the limiter to -3% or -10%. Now you may play more smoothly. Please note, that you shouldn’t use this tool if you have other CPU limiters (like Process Lasso) active. Disable them first.

Q: My game crashes on launch or doesn’t start at all.
A: Many overlay applications like MSI Afterburner may be the reason for that. If you already have drivers/Vulkan updated, disable MSI AB and similar tools for them not to inject in the game process. Another reason may be your CPU, which might be too old. The game requires SSE 4.1 support, so AMD Phenoms, in example, are not supported.

Q: The game runs, but stucks at 98% of Shaders Generation
A: This also may be due to recent or too old drivers or outdated Vulkan Try the following: a) delete all files in game’s ShaderCache folder. b) Rollback or update your video drivers. c) Make sure you have the latest Vulkan Runtime installed d) Run the game and keep fingers crossed that this time it will generate shaders properly

Game Description
Story:
Marty Burton is a former detective who experiences mysterious hallucinations that bring him into a world that is unreachable for common people, a dark and hostile world between dreams and reality, in which mysterious creatures hide the keys to unfathomable truths. After a long period of inactivity, he is hired by a wealthy oil tycoon to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his nephew on an island permanently covered in fog. Marty travels to Quiet Island with his trusty assistant, Arthur, a rag puppet he is very fond of. He find himself involved in an ecological disaster of which his employer seems to be responsible. To make things more complicated, an obscure figure, coming directly from Marty and Arthur’s past, is on their trails.

Gameplay:
IMAGO is an adventure and exploration game with first-person perspective and survival horror dynamics. The game is divided into investigative stages in the real world, in which you can talk to the characters, find hidden documents and collect clues to solve the case; and survival stages in the fictional world of the protagonist, in which the player must face the monstrous creatures that inhabit his mind, escaping, hiding and solving environmental puzzles. Every enemy in the game requires a different approach to survive it and return to reality unscathed. In addition to imaginary creatures, the player can face threats in the real world and sometimes use a gun to defend himself. You can run, walk stealthily, crawl, interact with the environment and collect or examine items, read documents and use a flashlight to illuminate dark places. Arthur, the ragdoll, can help the player solve puzzles with clues and observations. The puzzles in the game are based on logic, research and memory. The narrative progression is story driven and divided into levels, with a wide variety of evocative settings. The story is interspersed with flashbacks of the protagonist, who investigate his psyche and torments.

Game Description
Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman is writing a book on the barrows of England, documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When an intriguing letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay, tucked away in the remote countryside, she sets off by train with her assistant a day behind.

Upon her arrival, however, the mysterious man who summoned her is nowhere to be found. Her assistant never arrives. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow, and the locals are wary of this woman who is traveling alone and (gasp!) wears trousers.

The excavation of Hob’s Barrow is off to a rocky start. And then Thomasina starts having strange dreams…

Beacon Pines is a cute and creepy adventure set within a mysterious book. You play as both the reader of the book and its main character, Luka.

Something strange is happening at the old warehouse, and Luka and his friends seem to be the only ones taking notice. Sneak out late, make new friends, uncover hidden truths, and collect words that will change the course of fate!

Rewrite Past Events By Using Charms:
While helping Luka investigate the strange goings-on in Beacon Pines, you’ll collect special golden charms, each with a word engraved on it. These charms can be used at certain turning points in the story to fill in a blank word and drastically change everything that follows.

Discover Different Story Paths:
As the book’s reader, you’ll navigate the story’s turning points using The Chronicle: an interactive story tree that branches and grows along with your choices. Exploring one set of events can unlock new charms to use on another branch, leading you to jump back and forth between entirely different versions of the story in order to unravel the mysteries at the heart of Beacon Pines.
