Wow! I’ve finally done it—I’ve set a new monthly repack record with 183 unique games done in April! That means I’ve released an average of 6 repacks per day. It’s a far cry from my initial “1 repack per day” back in 2014–2017… But the gaming industry is growing, and I’ve had to adapt by refining my repacking routines, making them more streamlined and automated.

So, I guess the next milestone will be 210 monthly repacks (7 per day), right? Maybe it’ll happen this fall…

I’ve received an email from Disqus team, stating that due to copyright infringement violations they will stop supporting my site tomorrow. I don’t know if it will be possible to export their comments and import them back here to another commenting engine, but better be prepared for the worst.

Update: I’ve got the database of all comments made on Disqus. But still there will be another big task to import them to the new commenting system I choose.

Update 2: 750000+ comments are now being imported in the new system. This may take a few days, and unfortunately, nested comments will become flat ones. Nesting will work only for new comments, made in the new engine natively. Same goes for any pinned messages.

Another year has passed, another one ahead.

2024 was the most productive year for me, when it comes to repacks. One can spend some time and count how many new and older games I’ve repacked during that period 🙂

As a New Year Tradition, my GTA5 repack (still the most popular game here, after all these years!) has been updated. As before, it’s EXTREMELY backwards compatible with my 2023 repack, has an updated NaturalVision Evolved Platinum Modpack installed (as an option ofc, you can skip it) and even more bonus content included.

Oldfags might remember I’ve been running the Russian Movies Weekend posts series a few years ago. Due to the extreme load I have with number of games I repack, the series has been paused. But I always wanted to show you one of the most popular Russian New Year movies, “Enchanters” (Charodei, Чародеи). It was released in 1982 and since then is being shown every year right before NY. Millions of people love it, including Z-generation.

So, if you don’t know what to watch in the New Year Night – try this (don’t forget to turn on subtitles!).

With the amount of games I’m currently repacking I’ve absolutely missed my 1st Repack anniversary… On December 2, 2014 I’ve published Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions repack, with only 69 MB in size 🙂 It’s been ten years now since that moment and the amount of unique games bypassed 5000, and with updated re-repacks it might be 7000-10000 or more, it’s hard to tell. It’s a landmark for me, so I’m accepting virtual kisses and cakes 🙂

Starting today, my support of Windows 7 has been stopped. It means I will not check all games on that OS and will not search for/make fixes for them, when possible (and it’s possible in most cases).

I’ve been supporting Win 7 much longer than corporations, but unfortunately, with a huge amount of games I deal with, I simply can’t spend my time on those additional tasks. According to Steam Hardware Survey, current share of Windows 7 is 0.21%, so amount of affected users won’t be that big.

But in the coming weeks I plan to write a small tutorial on how an average Joe could fix more than 90% of modern games to make them work on Windows 7. So if you still can’t/don’t want to upgrade to Windows 10/11, just wait a little bit.

For past few days some of you, who’s using direct downloads for my repacks, could notice that my paste.fitgirl.nsus.dev domain pages loaded links forever to no avail. This issue should be resolved now – please check and respond in comments.
