Click on that screenshot to find your next big KAT 🙂 It’s not big YET, but many of us will help it to grow!
As you could guess, all my future (and some old uploads) will be on new KAT too. Yes, I just love them 🙂

OK, here’s the deal. You’ve helped me a lot with the first decompression test (and you already have new repacks with new fast and efficient algo). But now I need MORE, haha 🙂
This particular decompression test is a stress one. The main purpose of it is to determine how good my future repacks will install when PC is low on RAM or have RAM very fragmented.
Download these RARs:
http://www92.zippyshare.com/v/O1qBRcH1/file.html
http://www92.zippyshare.com/v/p5z2JW3F/file.html
http://www92.zippyshare.com/v/w7lb7RH9/file.html
http://www92.zippyshare.com/v/NaoMIKqp/file.html
Unpack them and run setup-ram-test-1.exe & setup-ram-test-2.exe one after another (order doesn’t matter). Write down installation times.
Then you have to create a low/fragmented RAM stress situation on your PC. It’s not that easy task as it seems. Well, you can easily EAT RAM, but make it fragmented…
So, if you’re really into test – do the following.
Write down the results of installations, even if one or both of them will crash. It’s important!
Report sample
CPU: Intel i5 6600
RAM: 16 GB
Pagefile: 16 GB
Test 1 Normal Installation Time: 1:10
Test 2 Normal Installation Time: 0:54
Test 1 Stress Installation Time: 2:56
Test 2 Stress Installation Time: crashed (crc error)

Christmas is coming, right?
Also there is ongoing voting there, so you can softly kill two rabbits with one stone – vote for whoever you want and register an account, which will also work with upcoming KAT torrents.

As I stated in my “Decompression test” post, the new algorithm I use is faster in decompression than LZMA + usually it compress better, sometimes significantly. But there is a downside – it’s PAINFULLY slow at compression, 6-7 times slower than LZMA.
Here’s the sample of Black Ops 3 (hehe) data compressed:
As you can see, it took almost 39 hours to compress 77.9 GB. Yuck. But for end-user it’s much better due to above-mentioned pros, so now this algo (not public) is becoming my main, replacing the widespread LZMA. Faster installation + better compression = magic combo!

Hello, everybody!
I’m planning to implement a new kind of compression algo in my repacks. It gives a slightly better compression ratio + installs faster. But before I implement it in repacks, I have to test the algo on you, my dear users 🙂
So, if you can download ~900 MB from zippyshare, go ahead:
http://www105.zippyshare.com/v/5Bq3xYvE/file.html
http://www105.zippyshare.com/v/nn9Ybg40/file.html
http://www105.zippyshare.com/v/BuGx9EH8/file.html
http://www105.zippyshare.com/v/t3auGm5K/file.html
http://www105.zippyshare.com/v/2gh1bNb5/file.html
UnRAR those files, then run setup-test-1.exe, setup-test-2.exe & setup-test-3.exe one after another.
Please remember/write down installation times for all three installers (each one should be within one minute). Then please report those in comments to this topic and provide your CPU type, RAM amount you have onboard and target drive you installed tests to.
The older your CPU is – the better for test. Thanks in advance!
Sample report:
Test 1: 0:17
Test 2: 0:25
Test 3: 0:14
CPU: Intel i5 6600
RAM: 16 GB
Installed on: HDD

I always made MULTI-x repacks, cause I make them for myself, for storage usage. Also I had a feeling, that though English is a language of international communication, Valve have a short-list of languages every publisher should publish their games, for a reason.
And now, since I have an access to downloads stats of my repacks on MultiUpload, I decided to check, if I was right by not ripping all languages but English.
Here are some stats of repacks, which have separate archives for different languages.
As you can see, every group, releasing English-only rips, lose almost 80% of traffic and users. Bad for them, good for me!
International is good. Alexa just proves it.
PS: Deus Ex is coming soon, with proper lossless audio (videos included) for every single language. Minimum size: 19.2 GB

Update #6, November 12 – The last: IW repack is done. 37.7 GB in minimum set (SP only for any single language, lossless). Optional MP/Zombie add-on available in case somebody will find a way to make those modes work. Release – on November 13.
Update #5, November 11: Lossy audio doesn’t work with IW as well. Bummer. Still, main game files can be compressed pretty good, and MP/Zombie content will be available as an optional content. Seems like BO3 is the only CoD, which works with lossy audio. Or should I test the game more? 🙂 Good news – as I don’t need to make audio lossy, repack will be released much faster. No ETA yet, but FASTER.
Update #4: Lossy audio triggers some in-game triggers, which stops you from proceeding, so no lossy option for this game, just pure lossless. Sorry, but that’s why I test my games. Dunno if the same bug will appear with lossy audio in IW, it works just fine in BO3 and sound containers in these two are almost the same, unlike ones used in MWR.
Update #3, Nov 8: MWR repack is ready and is in installation tests now. The minimum size is ~26.7 GB for any single language (lossy OPUS audio + menu animated backgrounds made static). Complete lossless set for any single language is 28 GB. Yet another smallest repack in the world. Planning to release it today, but may be delayed for tomorrow.
Update #2, Nov 6: IW .ff and .paks sucessfully decompressed/recompressed, giving significant boost in future repack size.
Update, Nov 6: Lossy audio works great in MWR, will be a good option to save traffic. Original lossless will be available of course.
Well, here we have bad news and good news. Let’s start with bad ones.
BO3 repack is delayed until MRW repack release. It requires more install tests and that requires much time.
MWR and IW use different file formats, so they need more time to deal with. With a help of my friend from R.G. Mechanics I’ve successfully uncompressed and recompressed .pak and .ff arhives from MWR. So the compression ratio will be much better than in any other available repack.
Another thing is moving MP/Zombie files to an optional download. With IW it’s easy, with MWR not that easy, but doable, I guess.
Do not ask idiotic questions about size and/or time of release. My answer is always the same: When. It’s. Done.

Updated Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 repack has beaten my own Far Cry 4 repack in terms of complexity. It’s huge, it has so many different types of data, tenths of thousands of audiofiles for every language… Number of possible language/modes combinations also add up a lot of work.
It’s good I always make notes, so next games on this engine will be repacked faster.
No ETA and final sizes yet, I’ll keep you posted.
